Steve Leighton's visit

Sharon was happy to have her brother visit

Well, Steve and I went for our daily walks

Sometimes, Shorter walks, Sharon would join us and Steve offered to take a picture...

This is the restaurant Kokker's Pub in Fort Walton

One day, Steve and I went for a long walk. It was interesting and we saw a lot of neat things-places where cars don't normally go

On our way back to the condo, this was a welcome sign to say we were close to our destination

We never took the elevator, always the stairs. Here Sharon heard us coming and wanted to ensure that we were alright lol

Steve also helped in pushing the cart when grocery shopping

He sometimes ate in the cornor of the balcony...

This was one of the Italian Restaurants we saw and decided to frequent that we saw on our walk.

Because of those meals, we needed to go out for more walks

During one of those walks, Steve noticed a Mother-Daughter practicing volleyball and decided to get into his teaching mode.

Sharon met us on the way back-she is holding some "precious" small shells...

Steve would like walking with Sharon also

They walked, not always on the nicest days. I am sure Steve is providing Sharon with some of his immense knowledge ...

We ended up going to McGuire's for supper

There is a tradition, which you can opt to do. Place a dollar, mark it up with your info, and staple it to the back of the wall or where ever.

Of course, more walks the next day

Another Pelican just flying around

We found a Thai Restaurant and decided to try it even though it didn't look that great...looks can be deceiving-which they were

Well, it was going to be a rainy day so we all agreed to go to the Alabama/Florida border. A place called: Flora-Bama.

It ended up being just a big Pub.

The next day I had some books to return to the library and Steve opted to be the "mule" and we walked to bring them back to the library. Right beside the library was this set of trucks (which I thought it was all fast food) but it turns out to be all healthy foods.

After all that, it was time to take some down time and read

Why you ask? Well, we are heading off to the German Restaurant that we passed on one of our walks.

We were entertained by the German Music

But he enjoyed the rest on the balcony as we overlooked a great beach

And yes, more walking. This particular picture (which I took with all who went for a walk with me) was a piece of the Twin Towers and it is in front of the Okaloosa Island Fire department. It is in memory of those who gave their lives on 9-11.

Sharon loves the USA and is always ready to show the world that these two countries should always remain "FRIENDS"

We stopped at Panara's one day and had their Autumn Squash Soup - which I love!!

We visited a few places

Walking to the pier, using different routes (ie going by road and cutting over to the sand)

It was the end of February and the end of the entertainment at McGuire's Irish pub. It seems they do this yearly for the Snowbirds. I guess they figure snowbirds only go for two months. I was hoping that they would do that for 3 months so that when Matthew's family would visit, they would also be able to enjoy this fun time.

We had good seats for the final event

Steve's last meal with us before heading off to the airport

You could look at this two ways (1) I was a good brother in Law and just making sure that everything was alright and he was leaving on time, or (2) He was leaving. lol. No, we enjoyed his visit and were sad to see him leave.
